PA Formally Asks Israel to Cancel Paris Agreements

On the orders of Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority,  cabinet member for civilian affairs, Hussein Ash-Sheikh, formally submitted a request to Israel, Sunday to review the Paris Agreements on economic arrangements between the two entities, according to the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency. Ash-Sheikh - a former commander of the Fatah faction's Tanzim terror group - said the purpose of the review is to make amendments as quickly as possible, claiming the agreement is responsible for the PA's current economic woes, which have led to public unrest in the PA-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria.

Among the amendments sought is the option of buying fuel from Arab countries instead of through Israel.
