Russia Warned Hizbullah about Syrian Chemical Weapons

Russia has warned Hizbullah against the transfer of chemical weapons from the Syrian government to Lebanon, according to a Sunday report by the Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar. A senior security specialist in the Russian Foreign Office delivered the warning directly to the Shi'ite terror group's secretary-general, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, during a recent visit to Beirut.

The official stressed that Russian President Vladimir Putin himself promised that the Syrian chemical weapons arsenal would not be transferred to anyone in general and Lebanon in particular. He warned that if Hizbullah was involved in such an effort, the consequences would be far reaching.
