Nitza Baraby, whose husband, Shushan Baraby, is being held for the hit-and-run death of three women in Netanya three weeks ago, held a news conference on Sunday to criticize the police's handling of the case. She said, "I know he was not driving," adding, "The police arrest him for everything, so he was afraid and waited for them to arrest the real driver."
Police tracked Baraby down a few days after the arrest. His wife said her husband intended to turn himself in and continued, "I believe him. The reports I'm afraid of him are lies and we go hand in hand." She said she was not in contact with her husband during the time between the accident and the time of his arrest and said reports she was wanted for questioning were equally false.
