A truck apparently carrying illegal Palestinian Authority workers ran over a security officer at the Oranim checkpoint Sunday morning. The officer was very seriously injured, and was treated on the spot by Igud Hatzalah rescue workers. He was taken to a hospital in Petach Tikvah for further treatment.

The driver of the truck was detained, as were the passengers in the truck, who did not have Israeli ID cards.
