A report said that Israeli security agents had arrived in Bulgaria to ensure protection of the Jewish community over the High Holiday period. The deployment was in cooperation with Bulgarian security authorities, the reports in Bulgarian media said over the weekend. The security teams were being deployed in the wake of the recent terror attack against Israelis in Burgos.

Israel has not published a travel warning against visiting Bulgaria, but officials said that they have been working intensely with Bulgarian authorities to ensure the safety of Israelis in the country.
