Employees of the Ma'ariv newspaper will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday morning, following an announcement that that they will receive only a third of their wages this month, with the remaining amount to be paid later.
A letter sent on Friday afternoon by the Ma'ariv employees' union said, "In the absence of an external solution to the economic crisis which the newspaper is in, Ma'ariv is expected to close for good at the end of the month. For us, this is a war for our home - and we will take all measures to protect it."
