Shekel, Euro, Pound Up; Dollars Mixed, Yen Plunges

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .449 percent, Friday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.998, down .671 percent, while the Euro declined .344 percent to 5.0681 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.3877, down .22 percent, and 100 Japanese yen fell 1.281 percent to 5.0633 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .406 percent to NIS 4.134, while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at 4.076 shekels, up .054 percent, and the South African rand climbed .789 percent to NIS .4852.
