Meretz Chairwoman Zahava Galon criticized on Thursday Israel’s decision to let two women and a child from Eritrea to cross the border into Israel, while handing another 18 Eritrean men over to the Egyptian authorities.

“The decision to return the 18 Eritrean men to Egypt is contrary to Israel’s international obligations,” Galon said, adding, “The gesture towards the two women and the boy, who received humanitarian permission to enter Israel, does not cover up the reckless decision of the State of Israel, which was made ​​possible because of the delay of the Supreme Court in making decisions.”
