A court ruled on Thursday that the conviction of Yeruham Mandola, a spokesman for Magen David Adom, would be cancelled.
Mandola was convicted of forging a police ID. He found a stolen certificate, changed the picture and was caught while driving his car with a flashing roof light. The Kfar Saba Magistrate's Court sentenced him to 300 hours of community service.
The Prosecution objected to erasing the conviction, saying that Mandola’s actions were serious since he was a public official. The judge ruled that the Mandola’s case is unusual because he did not have a previous criminal record.
