There has been no world leader like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad since Adolf Hitler led Nazi Germany, President Shimon Peres said Wednesday, speaking to the Italian foreign minister. Like Hitler, Ahmadinejad openly calls for genocide, he said.

Peres praised Italy for its firm stance on the subject of Iran’s nuclear program.
