Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan slammed Syrian President Bashar Assad Wednesday. Assad has turned Syria into a “terrorist state,” he said.

Assad’s regime has been engaged in efforts to put down a widespread rebellion for over a year. The regime has been accused of torture and of deliberately killing civilians.
