The heads of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) met on Sunday with Jordan's King Abdullah and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh. The meeting took place at the initiative of the Jordanian king and received the support of the governments of Canada and Israel.
During the meeting, King Abdullah discussed the challenges in the region, particularly those facing Jordan. He said that Jordan has been overwhelmed with almost 200,000 refugees, with an additional 100,000 expected.
A statement released by CIJA said, “We were asked to convey the message that Jordan requires immediate and increased foreign aid and investment in order to meet this challenge.”
