Theater Responds to MK’s Call to Halt ‘Bizarre’ Play

The director of the Cameri Theater responded Tuesday to MK Uri Ariel’s (National Union)call not to show a play. Noam Segel told Maariv/nrg that the theater respects all MKs, and invited MKs to come discuss the issue on Saturday night.

Ariel had written to Segel asking him not to show the play Kizuz, in which a religious-Zionist male Member of Knesset who is married with eight children has an affair with a left-wing female MK. Ariel termed the play “fantastical and bizarre” and expressed concern that it would undermine public respect for the Knesset.
