Speaking Monday night, President Shimon Peres said that Israel's enemies should not underestimate Israel's capabilities. Peres urged Israel's enemies “to give up the ways of terror and war. The Middle East can be freed of its difficulties in peaceful ways. We are not threatening anyone, and we are not afraid of the threats against us, whether from near or far.”
Peres added that “we have known heavy threats and have come out of them on top. I urge our enemies not to make a mistake regarding our capabilities, both open and hidden,” Peres said.
