A major theft of honey from Kfar Chabad was foiled Sunday night, when an alarm went off at a warehouse, moments before thieves were set to abscond with thousands of jars of honey. The owners of the beehives and honey warehouse phoned a local patrol group, which arrived at the site within minutes – moments before the thieves were about to make a getaway with a truck crammed full of the honey.

The thieves, seeing the commotion, abandoned their booty and ran away. Subsequent searches did not reveal their whereabouts, but the honey was returned to its owners, in time for the Rosh Hashana “honey season.”
