NIS 262,000 Fine for Operating Pirate Radio Station

In a precedent-setting decision, the Jerusalem Magistrates Court ruled, Monday, that Yisrael Bondak, the former operator of pirate radio station Kol Hamizrach, must pay the state 262,000 shekels for illegal use of radio frequencies.

The award was part of a civil suit which followed a criminal conviction against Bondak.
