Central District prosecutors filed indictments, Monday morning, against two Netanya residents in their 30s, accused of attacking an 86-year-old man they thought was trying to pass them at the entrance to a bank in the city, last Tuesday. One of the defendants, a woman, allegedly grabbed the victim's arm, hit him with her elbow and cursed him.
When the complainant tried to push her away, the second defendant, a man, came over and clutched the victim by the neck with one hand and picked him up by the belt with the other and slammed him to the floor, causing the complainant to bleed from a head wound which opened up. While he was down, the woman allegedly kicked him. The man had to be admitted to Laniado Hospital for 24 hours, after which he still suffered from sharp pains.
