President Shim'on Peres is scheduled, Tuesday, to present the President's Exemplary Volunteer Award for 2012 to Nadav ben Yehuda, who risked his life to save a Turkish mountain climber at the top of Mount Everest. A total of 12 individuals and organizations will be honored for outstanding volunteer acts.

Among the other honorees are the organization to Save the Heart of a Child, an organization to integrate Ethiopian-immigrant academics into the workplace, the Children at Risk organization, Yuval Wagner - a disabled pilot who is active at making sites accessible to the disabled, and an Air Force operations unit which volunteers at the Schneider Children's Hospital in Petach Tikva.
