Uri Blau Plea Bargain Expected to be Accepted Monday

The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court is expected to confirm, Monday morning, the plea bargain of Ha'aretz reporter Uri Blau, who admitted that he received nearly 2,000 classified Israel Defense Forces (IDF) documents and published some of them in the newspaper. According to the plea bargain, Blau will be sentenced to four months in prison which will be converted to community service.

Anat Kam, who was convicted of providing Blau with the documents, ahead of her leaving the IDF, is appealing the 54-month sentence she started serving in November as part of a plea bargain.
