Amos Shay, Police Central Command head, said that the evictions at Migron Sunday were “conducted with dignity.” The evictions, he told reporters Sunday afternoon, were carried out at the order of the High Court, and that, in conjunction with the IDF, police conducted the evictions “with great sensitivity. The residents willingly left their homes, with no physical or verbal violence.”

Regarding the protesters who were at the site, Shay said that they were “a group of 70 youthful lawbreakers who infiltrated a number of homes and blockaded themselves inside. They used physical and verbal abuse against police. All of them were taken to Jerusalem and released there, except for eight who remain in detention.” He added that police had transferred responsibility of the site to the Defense Ministry.
