A discussion on the impending bankruptcy of Channel Ten Television in the Knesset Oversight Committee that had been scheduled for Sunday was postponed. MK Uri Ariel (National Union), chairman of the Committee, on Sunday decided to delay the discussion for several weeks.

The delay comes after Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz set up a special committee to arrange for a new schedule of payments for Channel Ten in order to enable the station to pay off its debts and remain in business. The Committee delay will enable both the Treasury and Channel Ten to work out details of the new agreement, Ariel said.
