India Busts Muslim Gangs That Planned Nuke Terrorism

At least 16 people have been arrested in India on suspicion that they planned to blow up nuclear energy plants in the country. The arrests took place in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Karnataka. Police believe that more arrests will be made.

The terrorists were affiliated with Muslim terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Harkat-ul-Jihad-Al-Islami (HuJI). Besides the nuclear plants, the group was planning to attack Indian military installations, police said. Officials said that the gang had been supplied with money and equipment from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and that their handlers were located in both countries.
