Former minister and head of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Tzachi Hanegbi said over the weekend that recent events, including the latest IAEA report, was a greater justification  for the possibility of an Israeli attack on Iran. The report said that Iran had greatly increased its nuclear activity recently, sharply increasing the number of centrifuges it was using to enrich uranium.

Hanegbi said that “Israel's threat to attack Iran is not 'an exaggeration.' If the U.S. is not determined to stop Iran, Israel may have no choice but to act alone.” He added that speculation among some U.S. officials that Israel was incapable of carrying out such an attack, and that any attack would only delay, not stop, an Iranian program, was incorrect, as it had been incorrect regarding Iraq's nuclear program.Hanegbi"
