Iran, N. Korea Sign Technology Sharing Agreement

Iran and North Korea have signed an agreement to share technology. Iran state-controlled TV said that the agreement will enable Iranian and North Korean scientists to work together on a number of projects, although it did not specify which technologies they will cooperate on. Speaking to the Iranian parliament, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that both countries needed to cooperate because they had “common enemies.”

Both countries have active nuclear development programs. Last year, a UN report said that North Korea and Iran had been exchanging information and equipment for development of ballistic missiles in violation of UN sanctions. Iran denied the report.
