Volunteer paramedics from the Sharon branch of the Ichud Hatzalah organization rushed to the new cemetery in Hadera on Thursday evening, after receiving a call about a man who collapsed and lost consciousness during a memorial service for his father.
The man’s family members said that the son collapsed just before the Kaddish was recited. After nearly 40 minutes of CPR, the paramedics were able to revive the man and started preparing to take him to the hospital. However, when the stretcher reached the entrance to the cemetery, the man's pulse was lost once again. Attempts to resuscitate him again failed and he was pronounced dead.
