Airport Authority workers started sanctions, Thursday afternoon, at Ben-Gurion International Airport to protest what they called a "staffing shortage". About 100 temporary workers, who had been hired to deal with heavy traffic, were dismissed.

The sanctions led to delays in takeoffs and landings.
