The Al-Aqsa Foundation for Islamic Tradition published a statement Tuesday accusing Israel of desecrating the Al-Aqsa Mosque simply by allowing Jews and other non-Muslims to visit. Israeli soldiers and foreign tourists “contaminated” the mosque, the group said.

The organized added that non-Muslim tourists “contaminated” the site through “inappropriate dress and behavior that hurt the holiness of the place.”
