MK Uri Ariel (National Union), head of the State Control Committee, expressed outrage Tuesday over Minister of Internal Security Yitzchak Aharonovich’s statement saying entire Jewish towns should be considered terrorist groups if they are known to be home to the “extreme right.”
“Going by Aharonovich’s approach, one would expect him to treat all of the Palestinian cities and villages as terrorist organizations,” Ariel said. “What he said was terrible, and it hurt entire law-abiding communities. I call on the minister to repudiate his statement and apologize immediately to the Israeli public in Judea and Samaria.”
