The Elad organization’s mandate to operate the Ir David (City of David) historic site was invalid and will be canceled, Jerusalem judge Nava Ben-Or ruled Tuesday. The far-left group Ir Amim had filed suit against the agreement between Elad and the Nature and Parks Authority.

Ben-Or said that a tender should have been issued, or if not, a clear and unified decision should have been made regarding the lack of a tender.

However, she said, not every part of the deal is invalid, only those parts giving rights that should have been determined by issuing a tender.
