Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange began trading, Tuesday, with modest losses. About a quarter of an hour into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 979.87, down .18 percent, while the TA 100 declined .19 percent to 988.56, including a .07-percent slip to 1,114.98 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The communications and media stocks rose .05 percent to 431.64, while the same percentage increase meant a posting of 844.30 by the banking index, as the financial institutions dropped four tenths of a percent to 746.29, weighed down by the insurance issues, which stood at 719.01, down 1.28 percent. The oil and natural gas stocks slipped .06 percent to 911.66 and the biomed index stood at 716.94, down three tenths of a percent, while the rest of the technology issues declined .31 percent to 352.00. The real estate stocks stood at 231.06, down .78 percent.
