Mubarak Goes on Short-Lived Hunger Strike

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak went on a short-lived hunger strike Monday. A media report said that Mubarak had announced Monday morning that he would not eat, drink, or take medicines. He reportedly decided against continuing with the strike Monday afternoon, after he met with his son Gamal.

The report did not mention the reason for Mubarak's decision to go on a hunger strike.
