Mofaz: Hamas is Testing Us

Kadima chairman Shaul Mofaz said that Sunday morning's rocket attacks on Sderot were Hamas' way of examining whether Israel was still prepared to face its enemies. “Each year when school starts, the Gaza terror groups, especially Hamas, test us. I am sending out a message to Hamas: Your blood will be on your heads if a hair of one of our children is harmed,” Mofaz said. “The school year will start on time and it is our obligation to ensure that the children of the south have the necessary security.”

Mofaz made the comments while on a tour of Barzilai Hospital in Ashdod, where a rocket-proof operating and patient facility is being built. Completion of the facility has been delayed because of budget problems, and Mofaz said that the fact the facility was not ready was a “serious defense failure.”
