Syria Negotiating Imports with Oil Companies

The government of Syria has begun negotiations with oil companies in London, Singapore and the Middle East to import gasoline and diesel fuel, which are needed for the military and the stability of the economy. Syria would pay for the imports with crude oil.

Damascus is on the verge of a deal with Russia. The fuel shortage is  result of sanctions by the United States and Europe.
