Following media reports of another police complaint against ritual circumcision in Germany, German FM Guido Westerwelle has announced that “It is necessary to allow Jewish and Muslim traditional rituals without legal insecurity. We must not risk the German reputation of religious tolerance. I am pleased the German Ethics Committee will address the issue Friday.” (Maariv)
