PA Residents Crowd Tel Aviv Beaches for Muslim Holiday

Residents of Palestinian Authority controlled cities such as Ramallah, Balata, Shchem, Bethlehem, Bethlehem and other Muslim areas crowded the beaches of Tel Aviv for the holiday of Eid al-Fitr. Business owners and local residents complained, calling it a security risk and an unfair due to the inability for Israelis to visit Gaza beaches. The Tel Aviv municipality said in response that "the beaches in Tel Aviv / Jaffa are open to residents and visitors, regardless of religion, race or sex. While visiting beaches is not a violation of the law or the rules of conduct on beaches. Maintenance of public order on the beaches is handled by the Israeli police in cooperation with of beach maintenance workers, the municipality stated.
