Egypt Says Tanks in Sinai Don't Violate Camp David

A member of the Egyptian Supreme Military Council said Wednesday that the Camp David Accords have not been violated by the presence of tanks in the Sinai Peninsula. He added that the operation against terrorists in Sinai are coordinated with both Israeli and Egyptian officials.
The Camp David Accords were signed between the two countries in 1979 resulting in Israel's relinquishing the Sinai to Egypt. The treaties forbid a military presence in the Sinai without explicit permission for each side.
