A Knesset Ministerial Committee met Wednesday to discuss the situation of Gush Katif expellees. Science Minister Daniel Hershkowitz, Information Minister Yuli Edelstein and Social Affairs Minister Moshe Kahlon met with Rabbi Dr. Ofir Cohen, chairman of the Tenufa Authority. 
 
The meeting was to discuss the situation of about 350 families, who still, more than seven years since the Disengagement  from Gaza do not have permanent housing. In 2005 the Israeli government forcibly removed all Israeli civilians from Gaza.
