There is a new theory in the mystery of the whereabouts of Syrian Vice President Farouk al-Sharaa. A Jordanian newspaper has postulated that Farouk was killed in one of the many bombing attacks that have taken place in Syria. The article provided no sources for the theory. Last week Syria rebels claimed that Farouk had defected to their side. Other reports said he fled to Jordan.
