Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called Wednesday for soldiers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to increase terrorist attacks against other countries. He said the threatened terrorist attacks would be because of the support of several governments overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad from office. He threatened the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and all other countries he deemed against Iran or Syria.
According to the British Telegraph newspaper, intelligence officials revealed that Khamenei's announcement was taken after an emergency meeting of the National Security Council in Iran, where top officials discussed the implications of Assad being ousted from power by Syrian rebel forces.
