Magen David Adom emergency medical services reported that in the span on one day this past week they were called to respond to 115 car crashes. A total of 154 people were listed as injured. Of those injured, four were listed as have serious injuries, six medium injuries and 144 people were listed with light injuries. The end of the summer has brought increased traffic due to vacations, festival and other events.
Many organizations exist in Israel to try and counter such incidents such as the Or Yarok Association for Safer Driving in Israel. Groups like Magen David Adom, United Hatzalah of Israel and other volunteer emergency medical services help attend to victims of car crashes.
