2,132 people were hurt in car crashes in the month of July, police reported Wednesday. A total of 1,060 crashes that caused injury were reported.

Thirteen crashes were fatal, and 102 caused serious injury.

The data indicates a continuation in the drop in crashes causing injury. The rate has been falling by approximately 1% per month since March 2011.
