Court documents say suspect reportedly told investigators that they shot an Oregon man “because his last name made them think he was Jewish.” They are also charged with targeting Jewish leaders, members of prominent Jewish organizations, and other “Zionists,” and using the media to publicize their movement in an attempt to spark a revolution, according to a Seattle newspaper.
