Prices rose in mixed trading at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on Tuesday. The TA Composite Index closed at 984.15, up .91 percent, while the TA 100 rose .92 percent to 993.20, including a 1.25-percent advance to 1,118.73 by the Maof 25 most-widely invested issues. The 50 stocks just outside the TA 100 finished the day at 355.54, up 1.13 percent.
The bank index led the gainers, jumping 3.33 percent to 861.74 as the financial institutions closed at 765.76, up 2.46, including a .92-percent advance to 748.20 by the insurance stocks. Most of the technology index rose .56 percent to 352.44, while the biomed issues closed at 707.36, up .38 percent. The real-estate stocks slipped .12 percent to 236.04, while the communications and media index finished the day at 414.91, down .54 percent. The oil and natural gas issues declined nine tenths of a percent to 914.25.
