Gainers outnumbered losers at the start of trading, Tuesday morning, at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. A few minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 975.66, up .04 percent, while the TA 100 edged up .02 percent to 984.37, including a .16-percent gain to 1,106.68 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
With an average gain of .07 percent to 350.74, most of the technology stocks represented the only sector gain, while the biomed index declined .47 percent to 701.32. The same percentage loss meant a posting of 830.01 for the bank issues as the financial institutions stood at 740.05, down .98 percent, including a 2.03 percent plunge to 726.31 by the insurance stocks. The communications and media index fell 1.66 percent to 410.23 while the real estate issues stood at 234.75, down .67 percent. The oil and natural gas stocks slipped .17 percent to 920.90.
