It was announced, Monday, that bid of about 300 million shekels means the Solel Boneh construction company will be awarded the contract to pave section 21 of the Trans-Israel toll road (Highway 6) between the Rahat and Lehavim interchanges, north of Be'er Sheva'. The six-kilometer project is scheduled to be finished by the middle of 2015.

The extension is part of big program to connect the Negev and the Galilee with central Israel via a system of highways and railroads.
