Prices were up slightly, Monday morning, as international investors joined trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. About a quarter of an hour into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 978.86, up .12 percent, while the TA 100 rose .13 percent to 987.89, including a quarter of a percent advance to 1,109.25 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Leading the gainers were the insurance stocks, which stood at 752.33, up .58 percent, as the financial institutions rose .04 percent to 756.79, tempered by a two-tenths of a percent decline to 844.36 by the bank index. The biomed issues advanced .16 percent to 708.34, while the rest of the technology stocks stood at 350.96, down .19 percent. The oil and natural gas index edged up .08 percent to 937.16, while the communications and media issues slipped .13 percent to 413.97 and the real estate stocks declined .32 percent to 236.03.
