Dr Olga Raz, Tel Aviv Medical Center Nutrition Department Director has some tips for balanced breakfasts and school lunches for Kids.
Breakfast: For kids in a hurry, a glass of milk or chocolate milk will do. Eggs and vegetables are great for the patient ones. Breakfast cereals are not advisable for kids with a tendency towards being overweight.
School lunch: Whole wheat sandwich with peanut butter, avocado, Humus or tahina. Low-fat cream cheese or yellow cheese are also an option. Add plenty of fresh vegetables.
