Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi told the High Egyptian Judicial Council that following the cancellation of the military constitution he would transfer the authority he took to the new parliament when elected.

Morsi Spokesman Yasser Ali related that various political sources in Egypt supported Morsi’s decision to sack Defense Minister Hussein Tantawi and CoS Sami Annan.
