MK Yariv Levine (Likud), a resident of Modiin, said Israelis must learn from the European Union’s recent decision to consider Modiin not a part of Israel. “We must learn and know that our struggle is not over Judea and Samaria or Jerusalem, the question is over our very right to live in this land,” he said.

“Whoever tries to make an artificial distinction between Tel Aviv and Shilo will get decisions like this… the fate of Hevron and Shilo is that of Modiin and Tel Aviv,” he added.

Levine said there is a good side to the EU decision. “I didn’t know that I’m a settler, and I’m glad to hear it,” he said.
