Secretary General of the Organization for Islamic Corporation, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, said on Wednesday night he “did not see much support for external military intervention” in Syria during the organization’s summit in Saudi Arabia, where the organization affirmed the decision to suspend Syria.

Ihsanoglu said the decision to suspend Syrian membership is “a message to the international community that the Islamic community stands with a politically peaceful solution and does not want any more bloodshed.”
